big news

I don't have any new pictures to put up, and I haven't gotten anything from umami yet (and i check my mail everyday!) but I do have some pretty big news.

So the wedding I went to last week, I got to spend a lot of the time with the hired photographer. It turns out he owns his own wedding photography firm and I asked him if they were hiring, and he was like "you like to take pictures?" and I was like "uhh yeah!" and he gave me his card.

I had a meeting with him yesterday and I am now working with Kiss the Bride weddings. if you want to see some of their work you can see it here www.blog.ktbweddings.com

I guess my new years resolution is going to change. I know I said I wanted to take 300 pictures this year, but as I shoot weddings that goal becomes unrealistic (because typically i'll shoot about 1500-2k pictures a day). So instead my new new years resolution will be to move from the assistant photographer position to the professional photographer position by the end of this year. Ambitious? yes. Unrealistic? maybe. But if all goes well if everything goes the way I want it, then by the end of this year i'll be traveling with happy couples to take their engagement and wedding pictures. 

Special shoutout to my dad, who bought my first camera, even though it was expensive as hell, he believed in me

and Joe, who asked me to help him with the video for the wedding, I wouldn't have met the hired photographer if it wasn't for him.

And obviously to Cindy and Anthony, for getting married and hiring this guy haha
