New Directions

I just want to apologize for the huge delay in updates. A lot of things have been happening and I'm also busy working on a new blog. It's going to be called ABC Adventures and it's going to be a comic about 2 dogs and a cat (Atticus, Bodie and Cat, thus ABC). Currently I'm working on the stories and some mock ups of what I want the characters to look like, so look forward to that soon!


I was rereading an old post back in march about when I first got this job at Kiss the Bride wedding photography and I had set some ambitious goals at the time. I started off as a secondary shooter and I wanted to be promoted to a primary shooter by the end of this year. Not only have I met my goals but I've done something today that I would have never thought I would do back in March, I hired my first intern.

I call her debs, she's enthusiastic and ready to learn and by default (because she's the first) my best hire to date.

Today was her first day and here are some pictures we worked on together of some recent weddings I've done.

I am very proud of this picture because it's easy to get a close up cliche "you may kiss the bride" picture. But I've never gotten one where you see the moment and the crowds reaction.

These weddings were back to back and I realize how lucky I am to witness so many different cultures and participate in their happiest moments.
